This is My final fashion editor shoot, inspired by Sandra Skoglund, Richard Nicol's S/S 2012 collection, Inferno 1960's film by Henri Georges Clouzout and the 1960's style icons.

After researching L'Inferno the 1960's film and wanting to use it for my main inspiration, I have decided to research the main Style Icons from that era, to get a good idea of the look i want for my model and make-up and hair etc.

L'enfer

Richard Nicol's inspiration for his s/s 2012 collection was a 1960's unfinished film by Henri Georges Clouzot.
it featured Romy Schneider a very famous and beautiful actress.

He was inspired by the colors in the lighting. Also the hole mood and character of Romy Schnieder in the film, a seductive aloring women. The hair and make-up was a big influence to him also, with cat eyes, thick eyebrow, and sleek hair.
I have decided to make this my main Reference point for my shoot, taking the colors, lighting and casting for models.

When researching Richard Nicol, I couldn't believe I had found such a perfect collection to reference my styling for my shoot, The colors worked perfect. 

Siobhan Lyons

Guest speaker Siobhan Lyons came to one of my sessions at university and had a casual chat and insight into Fashion styling, in this she gave me a lot of inspiration.

She became a stylist without a degree or qualifications and did it on her own, by getting numerous work experience and internships.

She mentions that she worked on a recent collection with Richard Nicols S/S 2012 , and said he used a lot of babydoll colors and pale blue  feel. So i decided to have a look at his collection as I thought  it would only inform my references.

David LaChapelle

Whilst doing some more research to inform My project i found this image in THE FASHION BOOK by Phaidon. Its an image by David LaChapelle a photographer, I loved the colour and fashion references, the big hair, dark eyes and red lips. I also love the humour in which is narrated in this image, i thought this related to my artist Sandra Skoglund as it looks like a set  and has a sense of repetition with the location and the way the models look similar. With this i fell in love with the babydoll colours. So when researching into the S/S 2012 collections i had an idea of which colour pallette I wanted.

Skoglund creates surrealist images by building elaborate sets , furnishing them with carefully selected small children and other objects, a process of which takes her months to complete. Finally, she photographs the set, complete with actors. The works are characterized by an overwhelming amount of one object and either bright, contrasting colors or a monochromatic color scheme.

After looking at this artist, i have grown to love her work in many ways, i noticed she used repetition a lot normally with animals or colour.
